Ribblehead Viaduct

Ribblehead Viaduct - west side

This is an album. Related shots are listed in the full article.

Ribblehead Viaduct is part of the Settle-Carlisle railway line, so it's a working viaduct carrying passenger and freight services, not a monument to a lost line.

The obvious visual points of attraction of this structure are its scale, extent, design, textures and environment: wander by and through it as you would a cathedral or castle. Survey it in quiet and in use.
